GAIL D. GEIMAN

Gail D. Geiman, 86, of East Dundee, formerly of Browning, died at 8:15 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 14, 2004, at Sherman West Court in Elgin.

He was born Oct. 28, 1917, in Bader, a son of Jefferson Martin and Alma D. Danner Geiman. He married Erma E. Cable on June 1, 1947, in Browning. She survives.

Also surviving are one son, Gilbert (and Mary) of Sleepy Hollow; and two grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by one brother, Louis Eugene.

He was a teacher and farmer. He taught vocational agriculture at Astoria High School and was a member of the Spoon River Council of Boy Scouts for 10 years. He was a member of Astoria American Legion Post 25, where he had served as past commander.

He was a graduate of the University of Illinois and was a World War II Army veteran.

Graveside services were held Monday at Mud Valley Cemetery in Browning with Rev. Cliff Parry officiating. Shawgo Memorial Home in Astoria was in charge of arrangements.
