Louis "Gene" GeimanLouis Eugene "Gene" Geiman, 81, of Browning died at 3:58 a.m. Monday, Nov. 24, 2003, in Astoria.

He was born March 25, 1922, in Astoria, a son of Jefferson Martin and Alma D. Danner Geiman.

Surviving are one brother, Gale (and Erma) of West Dundee.

A World War II Navy veteran, he served as a pharmacist mate, stationed in the South Pacific. He was a member of Astoria American Legion Post 25.

He worked in the medical field in the Chicago area most of his life before retiring in 1984. He attended Roosevelt College and the University of Pennsylvania.

He was of the Baptist faith.

Graveside services will be held today at 2 p.m. at Bader Cemetery with Rev. Vernon Dean officiating. Military honors will be accorded by his American Legion post. Visitation will be held today from 1-1:45 p.m. at Shawgo Memorial Home in Astoria.
