Helen L. Curless Of Vermont Dies

Helen L. Curless, 55, of Vermont, died at 4 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 31, 1983, in McDonough District Hospital in Macomb.

She was born Feb. 27, 1928, in Table Grove, the daughter of Elza E. and Cleva F. (Hamm) Smith. She married Ronald M. Curless Jan. 29, 1971, in Knoxville. He died June 25, 1982.

Survivors include one son, Steven E. Smith of Pekin; four sisters, Doris Smith of Prairie City, Mrs. Frances Kendrick of Vermont, Rosa Fitzjerrels of Claremont, Calif., and Elsie Clapp of Table Grove; and two brothers, Homer and Junior Smith, both of Macomb.

She was also preceded in death by one sister.

She was an inspector at McGraw-Edison and Co. in Macomb, where she had worked for 17 years.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Table Grove Community Church with Rev. Leland Wahls and Rev. Ed Clapp officiating. Burial was in the Vermont Cemetery.
