ABBIE FRANCES (SMITH) KENDRICK

A. Frances Kendrick

A. Frances Kendrick, 72, of Vermont, died at 4:40 p.m. Monday, Feb. 27, 1995, at McDonough District Hospital in Macomb.

She was born July 19, 1922, in Table Grove, a daughter of Elza Ellis and Cleva Frances Hamm Smith. She married Eldon Kendrick on Dec. 20, 1938, in New London, Mo. He died Aug. 3, 1992. One son, Scotty, three sisters and one brother also preceded her in death.

Surviving are five sons, Bob Kendrick of Table Grove, Lonnie Kendrick of Roseville, Danny Kendrick and Larry Kendrick, both of Vermont, and John Kendrick of Industry; three daughters, Sandra Spangler and Juanita Hammack, both of Vermont, and Connie Chenoweth of Table Grove; one brother, Junior Smith of Macomb; two sisters, Rosa Fitzjerrells of Upland, Calif., and Elsie Clapp of Table Grove; 24 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.

She was a cook for Industry School District for many years and later worked at Adair Restaurant for 20 years. She attended Vermont Christian Church and was a member of West Prairie Home Bureau and Table Grove Fireman's Auxiliary.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Vermont Christian Church with Rev. Clint Palmer officiating. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Kost Memorial Home. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Memory Gardens in Macomb.

Memorials may be made to Table Grove or Vermont rescue squads.
