Services Sunday For Clayton Conner

Funeral services for Clayton Conner, 68, of Vermont, were held at 2 p.m. Sunday in Summum Christian church with the Rev. David, officiating. Burial was in the Summum cemetery.

Mr. Conner died Thursday afternoon at the wheel of his car of an apparent heart attack on the Astoria-Vermont blacktop road.

Born Feb. 20, 1893, in Woodland township, Mr. Conner was a son of Robert and Emaline Shores Conner. He was married to Rosa Marie Brillhart on Aug. 3, 1915. She survives.

A farmer in the Astoria area most of his life, Mr. Conner was a member of the Marbletown United Brethren Church.

Surviving are three sons, Robert of Astoria, Richard of Vermont, and Donald, Table Grove; four daughters, Mrs. Ruby Sandidge of Lompoc, Calif.; Mrs. Helen Derry of Astoria, Mrs. Nelda Webb of Lewistown and Mrs. Grace Bair of Astoria; two brothers, Delbert of Ipava, and Forrest of Summum, and two sisters, Mrs. Mary Plank of Astoria and Mrs. Dolla Shaffer of Summum. Also surviving are 14 grandchildren.
