Audrey J. Bucy, 86, of Canton died April 8, 2014, at home.Audrey J. Bucy, 86, of Canton died April 8, 2014, at home.
She was born Jan. 22, 1928, in Adair, a daughter of Melvin and Viola Gruber Danner. She married Otis Bucy on Jan. 31, 1948, in Moline. He preceded her in death on Sept. 12, 1989.
She also was preceded in death by two brothers, Dayle and Philip Danner; six sisters, Miriam Bushnell, Margaret Kepple, Betty Cox, Shirley Mathis, Virginia Lee Danner and June Dutton Smith.
Surviving are one daughter, Barb (and John) Westerfield of Liverpool and Deborah Gureski of Shell Knob, Mo.; one son, Larry Bucy of Marshall, Ark.; seven grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
She was a homemaker.
Services were held Saturday at Shawgo Memorial Home in Astoria with Pastor Robert Green officiating. Burial was in Vermont Cemetery.
