Ila BrickerIla F. Bricker, 100, of Havana died at 2:28 a.m. Dec. 31, 2008, at Mason District Hospital in Havana.

She was born March 31, 1908, in Woodland Township, Fulton County, a daughter of William H. and Ilma Dell Mayall Thompson.

She married Ernest Bill Lockard on Oct. 30, 1929, in Lewistown. He died Oct. 2, 1954. She then married Robert Fred Bricker on April 20, 1957, in Astoria. He died Aug. 10, 1976.

She also was preceded in death by two brothers, Elzie Thompson and Hiram Thompson; and one sister, Florence Miller.

Surviving are one sister, Marjorie L. Beekman of Ipava; one aunt, Gladys Heflin of Bushnell; companion, George E. Bohm of Lewistown; and several nieces and nephews.

She was a homemaker that helped raise her sister’s children, and helped on the farm.

She was a member of Summum Christian Church, where she taught both girls and women’s Sunday school classes.

Services were held Saturday at Shawgo Memorial Home in Astoria with Rev. Warren Hughes officiating. Burial was in Summum Cemetery.
