Betty Jane Bowman, 62, of Rushville died at 6:50 a.m. Friday, March 5, 2004, at Snyder's Vaughn-Haven Nursing Home.
She was born Aug. 7, 1941, in Brooklyn Township, Schuyler County, a daughter of Marion and Margaret Bradbury Lerch. She married John Bowman on May 16, 1960, in Rushville.
Surviving are two sons, David and Tim, both of Rushville; one daughter, Rhonda Crosier of Rushville; four grandchildren; one great-grandson; four brothers, Marion "Bert" (and Karen) Lerch of Beardstown, Carl (and Donna) Lerch of Cuba, Don (and Char) Lerch of Rushville and Jack (and Mary) Lerch of Rushville; and one sister, Joan (and Steve) Stull of Raritan.
She was preceded in death by three brothers, Walter Livingston, Larry Joe Lerch and Robert Livingston; and one sister, Mary Margaret Lerch.
She owned and operated Green Gables Motel in Rushville.
She was a member of First Southern Baptist Church in Rushville.
Services were held Tuesday at Worthington Funeral Home in Rushville with Rev. Mike Hall officiating. Burial was in Rushville City Cemetery.
