WILMA I. (VAUGHN) BAKER

Wilma Baker

Wilma I. Baker, 78, of Lewistown died at 6:30 a.m. Saturday, March 9, 2002, at Graham Hospital Extended Care in Canton.

She was born March 31, 1923, in Ipava, a daughter of Harvey and Mary Kruzan Vaughn. She married Dennis G. Baker on April 19, 1941, in Palmyra, Mo. He died Oct. 26, 1991.

She also was preceded in death by two brothers and two sisters.

Surviving are one son, Terry (and Pat) of rural Lewistown; three brothers, Maurice "Sonny" Vaughn of Lewistown, Harvey (and Virginia) Vaughn Jr. of Brereton and Charles (and Martha) Vaughn of Farmington; two sisters, Louise Burgess of Ipava and Ruth Barclay of Lewistown; two grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

She worked in the scale house at Duck Island Sand and Gravel Co. in rural Banner for 22 years, retiring in 1979.

She attended Lewistown Church of the Nazarene.

She was a member of Lewistown Rebekah Lodge and Fulton County Farm Bureau.

Services were held Tuesday at Henry-Lange Memorial Home in Lewistown with Rev. Terry Vance officiating. Rebekah services were held at the Monday evening visitation. Burial was in Oak Hill Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to her church or her Rebekah lodge.
