Ruth E. Barclay, 82, of Lewistown died at 1:36 a.m. Tuesday, May 6, 2003, at Heartland Health Care Center in Canton.
She was born Nov. 8, 1920, in Pleasant Township, Fulton County, a daughter of Harvey and Mary Kruzan Vaughn. She married Kenneth B. "Bill" Barclay on June 28, 1937, in Lewistown. He died Sept. 27, 1990.
She also was preceded in death by four brothers, two in infancy; and three sisters.
Surviving are three brothers, Charles (and Martha) Vaughn of Farmington, Harvey (and Virginia) Vaughn Jr. of Brereton and Maurice "Sonny" Vaughn of Lewistown; and one sister, Louise Burgess of Ipava.
She was the former township clerk for Waterford Township.
She also had worked for the former Norris Farms in rural Lewistown, Rockford Life Insurance Co. and Liberty National Life Insurance Co., retiring in 1975.
Services were held Friday at Henry-Lange Memorial Home in Lewistown. Burial was in Oak Hill Cemetery.
