Wilma BaughmanWilma E. Baughman, 86, of Prairieview Care Center in Lewistown, formerly of Ipava, died there at 2:15 p.m. Saturday, July 21, 2001.

She was born April 19, 1915, in Bernadotte Township, Fulton County, a daughter of William H. and Loreine McCaughey Hamm. She married Joseph Royal "Pete" Baughman on April 22, 1953, in Ipava. He survives.

Also surviving are one son, Merle (and Pat) of Miami; three sisters, Mildred France of Smithfield, Irma (and Marvin) McCormick of Ipava and Marjorie Deakin of Cuba; three brothers, Robert and (Shirley) Hamm of Lewistown, Russell (and Beverly) Hamm of Ipava and Harold (and Patricia) Hamm of Fort Wayne, Ind.; seven nieces; and 13 nephews.

She was preceded in death by one brother.

She served on the election board in Table Grove for Vermont Township.

She was a 66-year member of Order of Eastern Star 266 in Ipava and a 51-year member of Ipava Presbyterian Church.

Services were held Tuesday at her church with Rev. Robert Holler officiating. Burial was in Ipava Cemetery. Shawgo Memorial Home in Ipava was in charge of arrangements.

Memorials may be made to her church or Spoon River Hospice.
