Fay M. Beaty Of Astoria Dies

Fay M. Beaty, 77, of Astoria, died at 12:25 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 17, 1985, at Culbertson Memorial Hospital in Rushville.

He was born April 21, 1908, at Summum, the son of Frank and Birdie Martin Beaty. He married Vada M. Hall on Dec. 31, 1925, at Virginia, Ill. She died Sept. 29, 1968. He later married Gladys Davis.

She survives, as do a son, Earl of Florissant, Mo.; three daughters, Mrs. Sybie McCrary of Winston, Ga.; Mrs. Addie Olson of Richland, Iowa and Mrs. Elizabeth Pollitt of Canton; several stepchildren; 14 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren and two sisters, Mrs. Ferne Schisler of Astoria and Mrs. Maxine Haney of Colchester.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one daughter, one brother and one sister.

A retired farmer, Mr. Beaty was a member of the Summum Christian Church.

Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Tuesday in the Summum Christian Church with Rev. Roger Koster officiating. Burial was in the Summum Cemetery.
