Earl Beaty

Earl Richard Beaty, 86, of Holiday, Fla., formerly of Astoria, died Sept. 24, 2020, in Holiday, Fla.

He was born July 5, 1934, in Fulton County, the son of Fay M. and Vada Hall Beaty. He married Ethel Spleth on June 6, 1955, in Lincoln. She survives.

Also surviving are three children, David (and Diane) Beaty of Union, Mo., Daniel Beaty of Oklahoma and Patty (and Ron) Thompson of Texas; two sisters, Addie Olson of Galesburg and Elizabeth Pollitt of Canton; and five grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by two sisters.

He grew up in the Summum area and graduated from Astoria High School in 1952. He also graduated from Lincoln Bible Institute (now Lincoln Christian College).

He was a Bible College professor and minister in Indiana, Illinois, Missouri and Minnesota.

There will be no services. Cremation has been accorded. Burial will be held at a later date at Summum Cemetery. Curlew Hills Memory Gardens in Palm Harbor, Fla., was in charge of arrangements.
