Mrs. Ethel C. Thompson, 61, of Adair died at McDonough District Hospital in macomb at 9:35 p.m. Thursday, May 11, 1978.
She was born May 1, 1916, in Fulton County, the daughter of Frank and Birdie Martin Beaty. She married Carrol Thompson on Dec. 1, 1934, in Macomb. He survives.
She attended schools in Fulton County and moved to Adair 20 years ago. She was a member of the Adair United Methodist Church.
Other survivors include three sons, Verle of Cheyenne, Wyo., Harold of Bushnell and Norman of Industry; one daughter, Mrs. Virginia Hall of Beardstown; seven grandchildren; two brothers, Fay Beaty of Astoria and Dwight Beaty of Oneida, Ill.; and two sisters, Mrs. Fern Schisler of Astoria and Mrs. Maxine Haney of Colchester.
Funeral services were held at 1 p.m. Monday afternoon at Martin-Hollis Funeral Home in Bushnell with Rev. Louie Zuck officiating. Burial was in the Summum Cemetery.
