Mrs. Margaret Maye Bollinger, 97, of Astoria, died at 6:10 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 4, 1978, at Culbertson Memorial Hospital in Rushville.
She was born Aug. 24, 1881, in Astoria, the daughter of Allen and Christina Heston France. She was married Nov. 28, 1904, to Nathaniel Bollinger. He died April 12, 1936.
She was a retired school cook and social worker.
Mrs. Bollinger is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Nelda McCormick of Astoria and Mrs. Louise Stewart of East Peoria; two sons, Harold of Vermont and Bernard of Astoria; 12 grandchildren; 40 great-grandchildren; nine great-great-grandchildren; and one sister, Mrs. Clara Hott of Indiana.
She was preceded in death by three brothers and one sister.
Graveside services were held at 11 a.m. Friday morning at the Astoria Cemetery with Rev. Collis Trone officiating.
