CHRISTINA (HESTON) FRANCE

Last Rites Held Friday For Mrs. France

Mrs. Christina France, 85, died Tuesday night of last week at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Harry Hott, at Hoopeston, after being in poor health for some time. She was taken to her daughter's home about three months ago.

Born June 7, 1858, near Astoria, she was the daughter of Samuel and Hannah (Heaton) Heston. Mrs. France married Allen France, who died Oct. 17, 1929.

Children are Mrs. Maye Bollinger and Clarence, both of Astoria, Mrs. Pearl Luella Foster of Denver, Colo., Mrs. Clara Hott of Hoopeston, and Ralph of Springfield. Also surviving is a sister, Mrs. Lydia Aten of Astoria, and 25 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren. A son, Ernest J., preceded her in death.

Funeral services were held at 2:30 p.m. Friday at the United Brethren church with a former pastor, the Rev. I. E. Vanwey in charge. Burial was in Astoria cemetery.
