Olin D. Brown Dies In Hospital

Olin D. Brown, 88, of Ipava, died at 4:27 a.m. Sunday, Apr. 3, 1977, at McDonough District Hospital in Macomb.

He was born Feb. 6, 1889, in McDonough County, the son of John and Mary Morrow Brown. He was married April 15, 1911, at Havana to Fairy Wickert. She died July 13, 1968.

Surviving are three sons, Boyd of Ipava, Homer and Wade of Vermont; five daughters, Mrs. Margaret Thompson of Ipava, Mrs. Mildred Ebbert of Adair, Mrs. Anne Guida of Rancho Mirage, Calif., Mrs. Alice Kelleher of Los Angeles, Calif., and Mrs. Phyllis Strode of Macomb; 13 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Mrs. Lena Laws of Quincy and Mrs. Edith Ford of Lewistown. Two sisters and four brother preceded him in death.

Mr. Brown was a retired farmer and a member of the Christian faith.

Funeral services were to be held at 2 p.m. this afternoon at Kost Memorial Home in Vermont with Rev. Lee Reffett officiating. Burial was to be in Vermont Cemetery.
