Jesse A. Ames, 90, of Table Grove, died at 11:15 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 26, 1995, at McDonough District Hospital in Macomb.
He was born Dec. 16, 1904, in Fulton County, a son of Orson B. and Eva B. Fraikes Ames. He married Laila E. Deford on Aug. 6, 1924. She died Sept. 22, 1979. He also was preceded in death by one son, Wendell Ames, one brother and two sisters.
Surviving are one son, Don of Table Grove; one daughter, Bernita Arnett of Table Grove; seven grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and seven great-great-grandchildren.
A farmer, he was a member of the McDonough County Farm Bureau.
He also was a member of Table Grove Community Church, where services were held Monday with Rev. Howard Self officiating. Kost Memorial Home in Vermont was in charge of arrangements. Burial was in Harris Cemetery in Table Grove.
