She was born Sept. 20, 1928, in Brockett, Ark., a daughter of Golden and Lora Bramlett Harper. She married Don Snowden on Jan. 7, 1949, in Macomb. He preceded her in death on Sept. 5, 1977. She then married Charlie O. Steck on March 25, 1980, in Vermont. He preceded her in death on Aug. 22, 1996. She then married John C. Yeager on April 25, 1998, in Galesburg. He preceded her in death on April 20, 2013.
She also was preceded in death by one son, Michael Snowden; one daughter, Gloria Hinrichs; one brother, Donald Harper; and one sister, Mildred Davis.
Surviving are two sons, Randall (and Mardeen) Snowden of Vermont and Herb (and Kathy) Snowden of Table Grove; one daughter, Linda (and Buck) Bair of Jeffersonville, Ohio; two sisters, Ruby Waterman and Marjorie Sailar of Galesburg; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
She was a homemaker and worked at Western Illinois University as a cook.
She was a member of Vermont Christian Church.
Services were held Tuesday at Shawgo Memorial Home in Astoria with Pastor Cody Stinnett officiating. Burial was in Vermont Cemetery.
