MARY L. (SALISBURY) WILSON

Mary Wilson

Mary L. Wilson, 93, of Astoria died at 6:35 p.m. at Culbertson Memorial Hospital in Rushville.

She was born Jan. 19, 1915, in Astoria, a daughter of Judd and Ethel Mae Alexander Salisbury. She married Ross C. Wilson on Nov. 18, 1933, in East Peoria. He died July 22, 1988.

She also was preceded in death by one great-grandson, Jacob Rees; one sister, Maxine Cramer; and one brother, Lyle Salisbury.

Surviving are two daughters, Shirley (and Richard) Deary and Donna (and Bernard) Shawgo, both of Astoria; one son, Jerry (and Jobie) Wilson of Havana; one sister, Doris (and Leroy) Klinedinst of Astoria; nine grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and 10 great-great-grandchildren.

She worked at West Grocery in Astoria, Astoria Fiber-Steel Plant and a cook at Astoria Schools.

She was a member of Astoria Christian Church and Astoria Sunshine Club.

Services were held Monday at Shawgo Memorial Home in Astoria with Doug Shawgo officiating. Burial was in Astoria Cemetery.
