Doris KlinedinstDoris Elizabeth Klinedinst, 82, of Astoria died at 4:05 p.m. June 10, 2008, at McDonough District Hospital in Macomb.

She was born Jan. 19, 1926, in Woodland Township in Fulton County, a daughter of Judson and Ethel Mae Alexander Salisbury. She married Leroy George Klinedinst on May 29, 1945, in Ipava. He survives.

Also surviving are one daughter, Sandra (and Gary) Adkins of Astoria; one son, Robert (and Kathy) Klinedinst of Astoria; four grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by two sisters, Mary Wilson and Maxine Cramer; and one brother, Lyle Salisbury.

She worked at Astoria Fibra-steel for over 30 years; Mummert Seed Company; and in the payroll department at Camp Ellis in Ipava.

She was a member of Good Sams Club for more than 30 years, serving as secretary for many years; Sunshine Club of Astoria; and activity director for Park Place in Harlingen, Texas, where they spent their winters for 17 years.

Services were held Saturday at Shawgo Memorial Home in Astoria with Gary Sheets officiating. Burial was in Woodland Cemetery in Astoria. Shawgo Memorial Home in Astoria was in charge of arrangements.

Memorials may be made to Astoria Fire and Rescue Squad and the activity fund at Astoria Gardens & Rehab Center.
