Jeanette Ellen Wys, 99, of Lewistown died at 12:10 p.m. Thursday, April 20, at Graham Hospital in Canton.
She was born Oct. 27, 1906, at rural Lewistown, a daughter of Clyde and Clara Zempel Guiher. She married Elmer G. Wys on April 25, 1932, at the home of her parents. He died July 21, 1957.
She also was preceded in death by one brother, Robert Guiher.
Surviving are two sons, Clyde (and Ann) of Ipava and Fredrick "Fritz" (and Jan) of Lewistown; two daughters, Barbara Simpson of Lewistown and Clara Kay (and Don) Thompson of Ipava; 13 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
She was a member of First United Methodist Church of Lewistown.
She was a homemaker, and assisted her husband in farming and operating Wys Dairy for many years.
Services were held Monday at her church with Rev. Bill Bunnage officiating. Burial was in Oak Hill Cemetery in Lewistown. Henry-Lange Memorial Home in Lewistown was in charge of arrangements.
