Norma Lee Warner

Norma Lee Warner, 82, of Astoria died Wednesday, Jan. 22, 2003, at Memorial Medical Center in Springfield.

She was born March 14, 1920, in Astoria, the daughter of Jesse and Irma Gruber Wherley. She married Carroll Warner on Oct. 19, 1940, in Kahoka, Mo. He died Dec. 1, 1997.

She also was preceded in death by one brother, Russell Wherley.

She graduated from Astoria High School in 1938.

She owned and operated Astoria Wallpaper and Gifts for many years.

She and her husband also operated the family farm in Schuyler County.

She attended Astoria Christian Church and Woodland Church of the Brethren near Astoria.
She enjoyed sewing, quilting, assisting the elderly, and playing the piano and singing.

Services were held Saturday at Astoria Christian Church with Gary Sheets and Marshall Litchfield officiating. Sager Funeral Home in Beardstown was in charge of arrangements. Burial was in South Fulton Cemetery near Astoria.

Memorials may be made to the Astoria Gardens Activity Fund.
