Carroll Warner

Carroll W. Warner, 83, of Astoria, died at 4:56 p.m. Monday, Dec. 1, 1997, at Memorial Medical Center in Springfield.

He was born July 27, 1914, a son of William C. and Mary E. Walters Warner. He married Norma Lee Wherley on Oct. 19, 1940, in Kahoka, Mo. She survives.

Also surviving are one sister, Geraldyne Hoover of Lombard; and one brother, Dale Warner of Monticello.

He was preceded in death by one brother, Charles Warner.

He was a member of Woodland Church of the Brethren. He served as secretary of the Vermont Bowling League for a number of years. He was a farmer and also worked for Mummert Seed Co. for 14 years, Shaw Feed and Seed for 27 years, Adkins Video, and Astoria Feed and Seed.

Services are 2 p.m. Thursday at Shawgo Memorial Home in Astoria with Rev. Marshall Litchfield officiating. Friends may call after 2 p.m. today at the funeral home. The family will meet with friends one hour before services. Burial will be in South Fulton Cemetery near Astoria.

Memorials may be made to Woodland Church of the Brethren, South Fulton Senior Citizens Center, or Astoria Public Library.
