Wilbur Wickert, 81, of Pekin died Jan. 17, 1991, at a hospital in Glendale, Calif. He had been ill several years.
He and his wife left Pekin Dec. 1, 1990, to spend the winter in California with their daughter, Mrs. Don (Joyce) Petit of Glendale.
He was born May 22, 1909, a son of Martin and Mary Bucher Wickert of Astoria. He married Evelyn Barker on May 29, 1937. She survives.
Also surviving are his daughter of Glendale; two grandchildren; and two sisters, Ruth Wickert of the Astoria Healthcare Center and Florine Sanders of Astoria; and several nieces and nephews.
Five brothers and four sisters preceded him in death.
He worked at Caterpillar, Inc. for 30 years before retiring in February 1972.
Cremation rites were accorded in Glendale. Crippen Mortuary in Montrose, Calif., was in charge of arrangements.
