LUCINDA “CINDY” (DUCKWILER) VAUGHN

Lucinda Vaughn

Lucinda “Cindy” Vaughn, 54, of Astoria died at 6:32 p.m. June 3, 2010, at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria.

She was born Jan. 21, 1956, in Canton, a daughter of Albert and Edith (Peters) Duckwiler, who preceded her in death. She married Timothy Vaughn on Oct. 3, 1998 in Summum. He survives.

Also surviving are one daughter, Kaila Duckwiler of Astoria; two sons, Joseph Vaughn of Lewistown and Jordan Vaughn of Ipava; five brothers, Alvin (and Marsha) Duckwiler of Paris, Michael (and Debra) Duckwiler of Astoria, Steven (and Anita) Duckwiler of Ipava, Douglas Duckwiler of Canton, and Danny (and Lisa) Duckwiler of Cuba; three sisters, Sara (and Dwight) Allen, Sheila White both of Havana, and Brenda (and Kirk) Thompson of Good Hope; and one grandchild.

She worked as a CNA at Prairieview Care Center in Lewistown for a number of years. She was a first responder for the Astoria Fire and Rescue Squad and a member of Summum Christian Church.

Services were held at 11 a.m. Monday at Summum Christian Church with Rev. Ken Peterson officiating. Burial was in Summum Cemetery in Astoria. Shawgo Memorial Home of Astoria was in charge of arrangements.

Memorials may be made to American Heart Association or the American Diabetes Association.
