Albert Duckwiler Dies At Age 48

Albert L. Duckwiler, 48, of Astoria, Route 1, died at 2 a.m. Sunday, Mar. 23, 1980, in Graham Hospital at Canton.

He was born Feb. 15, 1932, in Havana, a son of Albert and Sarah Marie (Allen) Duckwiler. He married Edith Peters May 22, 1954, at Havana.

Surviving are his wife; his father of Havana; five sons, Albert, Steven and Raymond, all of Havana, Michael of Astoria and Danny Lee, at home; four daughters, Lucinda, Sarah Louise, Brenda Jo and Sheila Michelle, all at home and five grandchildren.

Also surviving are three sisters, Mrs. Evelyn Mahan of Vermont, Mrs. Bessie Hutson of Knoxville and Mrs. Louise Brown of Havana, and one brother, Joseph.

Mr. Duckwiler was employed at International Harvester Co. at Canton. He was a member of the Astoria Church of the Nazarene and of the Loyal Order of the Moose Lodge at Canton.

Funeral services were held at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday in Hurley Funeral Home at Havana, with Rev. Lester Burgard officiating. Burial was in Laurel Hill Cemetery at Havana.
