Marie VanFossen, 85, of Macomb, formerly of Ipava, died at 8 p.m. Wednesday, June 8, 1994, at McDonough District Hospital in Macomb.
She was born Feb. 21, 1909, near Ipava, a daughter of James and Molly Harmon Smith. She married Earl VanFossen on March 7, 1932, in Lewistown. He died Feb. 12, 1987. She also was preceded in death by two brothers.
Surviving are two sons, Donald D. of Hayes, Va., and Richard W. of Ipava; seven grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; and three sisters, Ruby Landreth of Kansas City, Kan., Mary Lalicker of Canton and Lena France of Sunnyland.
She was a member of Ipava Christian Church and its homebuilders class.
Funeral services were held Saturday at her church with Dennis Knotts officiating. Burial was in Ipava Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to her church.
Shawgo Memorial Home in Ipava was in charge of arrangements.
