Richard VanFossen

Richard VanFossenRichard W. VanFossen, 83, of Ipava died at 9:50 a.m. Feb. 7, 2020, at Roseville Rehabilitation and Health Care in Roseville.

He was born April 27, 1936, in Ipava, a son of Earl Lloyd and Leota Marie Smith VanFossen. He married Marilyn Sue Ramos on Nov. 6, 1999, in Macomb. She survives.

Also surviving are two daughters, Nancy Richbark and Karen (and Kevin) Danner, both of Table Grove; one stepson, Tony (and Michelle) Klockenga of Metamora; one stepdaughter, Vicki (and Rick) Willis of Peoria Heights; six grandchildren; four step grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren: and one step great-grandchild.

He was preceded in death by one brother, Donald VanFossen.

He was an over-the-road truck driver for many years. He also was an auctioneer, working with Dean Roddis.

A Celebration of Life Service was held Monday at Shawgo Memorial Home in Astoria. Cremation rites were accorded following the services. Burial will be in the Ipava Cemetery at a later date.
