Theodore R. Vaughn, 70, of 343 Fulton, Canton, died at 11:18 a.m. Thursday morning at St. Francis Hospital in Peoria.
He was born in Vermont Nov. 6, 1901, a son of Charles and Sarah Miller Vaughn. He married Rose A. Lau in Astoria on April 16, 1927. She survives.
Also surviving are a son, Paul of Joliet; four daughters, Miss Lois Vaughn, Mrs. Joseph (Sarah) Rosich, Mrs. Harold (Dorothy) Jenkins and Mrs. Richard (Evelyn) Behm, all of Canton, and 16 grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two brothers and one sister.
Mr. Vaughn was a retired employee of the Fulton County Highway Department.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Saturday afternoon in Oaks Memorial Chapel in Canton with Rev. Clyde Friend officiating. Burial was in White Chapel Memory Gardens.
