Charles Utter Jr.Charles Richard Utter Jr., 75, of Camden died at 9:40 a.m. Wednesday, April 6, 2011, at Snyder's Vaughn-Haven Nursing Home in Rushville.

He was born Nov. 5, 1935, in Bainbridge Twp., Schuyler County, the son of Charles and Grace Park Utter. He married Lucille I. Robinson on May 28, 1960, in Rushville. She preceded him in death on Dec. 18, 2003.

He also was preceded in death by infant triplet sons, Terry L., Jerry L. and Larry L. Utter; one infant daughter, Martha J. Utter; and one great-grandson, Gideon Ray Crenshaw.

Surviving are one daughter, Rebecca L. Crenshaw of Rushville; three sons, Richard L. (and Kathy) Utter of Cooperstown and twins Robert L. Utter and Ronnie L. Utter, both of rural Rushville; one sister, Maxine Logan of Rushville; seven grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

He graduated from Rushville High School in 1953 where he was active in the FFA program.

He farmed all his life. He also worked for Charles Schaffer Meat Market, Oscar Meyer Co. and Dot Foods.

He was a member of USCW Union #431 and Schuyler Co. Coon Hunters Association.

Funeral services were held Saturday at Worthington Funeral Home in Rushville with Rev. George Buck officiating. Burial was in Messerer Cemetery near Frederick.
