Mrs. Fannie Utsinger Dies In Daughter’s Home

Mrs. Fannie Elizabeth Utsinger, 67, died early Thursday in the home of a daughter, Mrs. Gertrude Cable near Summum, with whom she had made her home the last two months. She had been in ill health several months.

Mrs. Utsinger had resided in Fulton county her entire life and in Astoria since 1920.

Born Aug. 17, 1890, in Deerfield township, a daughter of John and Mary (Hammond) Loucht, she was married to Jesse W. Utsinger. He preceded her in death on Sept. 7, 1947.

Surviving in addition to Mrs. Cable are seven other daughters: Mrs. Rosa Mae Pollitt and Mrs. Loretta Fisk in Astoria; Mrs. Marjiebell Ahearn in Avon; Mrs. Idella Gaffney, in Pittsfield; Mrs. Hazel Everett and Miss Shirley Utsinger, both in Peoria, and Mrs. Dorcas Farwell, in Bushnell. Surviving also are 17 grandchildren, a sister, Mrs. Josie Lawson, in Aurora, and a brother, Samuel Loucht in Avon. A daughter and three sisters preceded her in death.

Funeral rites were conducted at 2 o’clock Saturday afternoon in the Evangelical United Brethren church, of which she was a member, by the Revs. J. E. Sibert and Charles Leib. Burial in Wiley cemetery.

The Shawgo Memorial Home had charge of the services.
