Hazel Evelyn Everett, 81, of Peoria, died at 7 a.m. Monday, Jan. 10, 2000, at Rose Garden Care Center in Peoria Heights.
She was born Dec. 29, 1918, in Deerfield Township, Fulton County, a daughter of Jesse W. and Fannie E. Loucht Utsinger. She married Robert D. Everett on April 27, 1946, in Chicago. He died Dec. 2, 1978.
Seven sisters also preceded her in death.
Surviving are two sons, Robert (and Barbara) and Daniel, both of Peoria; two daughters, Dorathea Everett and Judith Bremer, both of Morton; one sister, Dorcus Farwell of Bushnell; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
She worked at J.D. Roszell Co. and was the manager of a Baskin-Robbins Ice Cream store in Peoria. She also did marketing research for many years. She worked at Jumer's Castle Lodge for more than 20 years, retiring as a cashier in April 1991.
She was a former member of the Rev. Harry Newcomb's Metropolitan Baptist Church in Peoria.
Private services were held with Deacon Ron Rager officiating. Burial was in Lutheran Cemetery. Deiters Funeral Home in Washington was in charge of arrangements.
