She was born Oct. 24, 1923, in Macomb, a daughter of Chester and Tennie Gray Hillyer. She married Donald Trone on April 12, 1945, in Rushville. He preceded her in death on June 27, 2007.
She also was preceded in death by one daughter, Terri Lea Trone; one son, Alan Trone; three brothers, Russell Hillyer, Keith Hillyer and Chester Brooks Hillyer Jr.; and two sisters, Geneva Martin and Shirley Runkle.
Surviving are two daughters, Jane (and John) Dickerson of Naples, Fla., and Alice (and Tommy) Proffer of Bradenton, Fla.; her twin sister, Mildred Ruth Runkle of Littleton; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
She was a caregiver to dozens of children in the Macomb area. She also worked at the Adair Café, doing a little bit of everything.
She was a member of Pennington Point Methodist Church.
Services were held Friday at Shawgo Memorial Home in Astoria with Pastor Gary Sheets officiating. Burial was in Ridgeville Cemetery in Browning.
