Mildred Taylor

Mildred L. “Millie” Taylor, 84, of Loveland, Colo., formerly of Fulton County and Champaign, died at 8:35 p.m. Tuesday, May 19, 1998, at North Shore Health Care Facility in Loveland.

She was born June 19, 1913, in Fulton County, a daughter of Dan and Sarah Miller Johnson. She married Alvan “Red” Taylor on Aug. 17, 1941, in Peoria. He died Jan. 3, 1958. She also was preceded in death by three sisters, one brother and one foster brother.

Surviving are one daughter, Mrs. Richard (Sue) Rehg of Loveland; three grandsons; two great-granddaughters; and two sisters, Margaret Greve of Peoria and Mabel Easley of Lewistown.

She was an insurance agent for Horace Mann Co. in Champaign from 1959 to 1977. She was a member of First Christian Church in Champaign, where services were held Saturday. Burial was in Grandview Memorial Gardens in Champaign. Shawgo Memorial Home in Astoria was in charge of arrangements.

Memorials may be made to her church, Family Service Telecare or the American Red Cross.
