Mabel M. Easley, 90, of Lewistown died at 9:08 a.m. Saturday, April 8, 2000, at her home.
She was born in Woodland Township in Fulton County on July 12, 1909, a daughter of Daniel K. and Sarah Miller Johnson. She married Abram K. Easley in Virginia on Nov. 20, 1930. He died Oct. 31, 1994.
She was also preceded in death by one son, David Easley; one grandson; four sisters; and one foster brother.
She is survived by one son, Dan (and Marilyn) Easley of Bella Vista, Ark.; two daughters, Leta (and Don) Grubor and Sandra (and Gene) Welker, both of Lewistown; one sister, Margaret Greve of Peoria; eight grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; one step-great-grandchild; and two step-great-great-grandchildren.
She was a retired nurse's aid and a member of the Lewistown United Methodist Church and the Lewistown Rebekah Lodge, of which she was a Past Noble Grand.
Services were held Tuesday at the Henry Memorial Home in Lewistown with Rev. Jon Simms officiating. Burial was in the Oak Hill Cemetery in Lewistown.
Memorials may be made to her church, her lodge or to the Gazebo Fund at Spoon River College.
