She was born March 18, 1921, in Summon, the daughter of John and Sara Thomas Foutch, the youngest of 12 children.
She married Lyle D. Salisbury on March 18, 1938, in Missouri. He preceded her in death on Nov. 23, 1991.
She also was preceded in death by two daughters, Marilyn Howarter and Ruth Ellis; and one grandson, Clay Wise.
Surviving are one daughter, Janice Poloney of Canton; seven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.
She was primarily a homemaker and seamstress. She also worked at Spurgeons and as a cafeteria cook at Canton High School before retiring.
Memorials may be sent to the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in Memphis, Tenn., or Tradition Health Hospice in Peoria.
