She was born Oct. 2, 1942, in Moline, a daughter of Lyle D. and Irma Foutch Salisbury.
Surviving are two daughters, Martha Howarter of Canton, and Karla (and Scott) Shaw of Lake Villa; two sisters, Janice Poloney, and Ruth Ellis both of Canton; and two grandchildren.
She was a school teacher for 40 years, teaching in Bryant, St. David and Lewistown schools.
Services will be held at 3 p.m. Thursday, at Shawgo Memorial Home in Astoria, with Gary Sheets officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the services at the funeral home. Burial will be in Astoria Cemetery.
