She was born Oct. 8, 1938, in Huntsville Township, Schuyler County, a daughter of Harold Michael and Viva Wilson Etter. She married Carl Settles on April 22, 1958, in Rushville.
Surviving are one daughter, Carla Settles (and Sandy Nyberg) of Buffalo Hart; one son, Allen (and Diane) Settles of Rushville; one brother, William (and Betty) Etter of Rushville; and one grandchild.
She was preceded in death by one sister, Patricia Leverton; and one brother, Richard Etter.
She was a graduate of Rushville High School.She worked at Schuyler FS until retirement. She later went back to work for Hannant-Ward Insurance and later Redshaw Insurance.
Cremation has been accorded. Worthington Funeral Home in Rushville is in charge of arrangements.
