She was born Feb. 13, 1936, in Fulton County, a daughter of Harold Michael and Viva W. Wilson Etter. She married Wilbur D. Leverton on Aug. 5, 1954, in Rushville. He preceded her in death on Aug. 15, 2004.
She also was preceded in death by one son, Scott Michael Leverton.
Surviving are two daughters, Denise Lane (and Charles) Jordan of Rushville and Sandi Kay (and Mark) Roberts of Timewell; two brothers, William “Bill” (and Betty) Etter and Richard “Dick” (and Liz) Etter, both of Rushville; one sister, Peggy Jane (and Carl) Settles of Rushville; six grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
She was a Grain Assistant for Schuyler-Brown FS in Rushville for 39 years, retiring in June, 1994.
She attended Sugar Grove United Methodist Church, south of Rushville and later First United Methodist Church in Rushville. In her younger years, she organized and played traveling softball and bowled in a bowling league. She volunteered at Culbertson Memorial Hospital.
Services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at the Wood Funeral Home in Rushville with Pastor Charla Meyers officiating. Burial will follow in the Rushville City Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5-7 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
