She was born Feb. 7, 1932, in Astoria, a daughter of Allen and Nelda Kessler Bucher. She married Willis Shaw on Nov. 3, 1957, in Browning. He preceded her in death on Sept. 10, 2012.
She also was preceded in death by one grandson, Jeremiah Edwards; three brothers, Arthur, Beverly and Maynard Bucher; and five sisters, Ramona Mae Bucher, Virginia Maxine Cox, Leta Belle Bucher, Doris Baker and Bernice Wright.
Surviving are one son, Larry (and Pam) Shaw of Astoria; two daughters, Letha (and Joe) Stambaugh of Astoria and Lila Edwards of Rushville; one sister, Nedra Bollinger of Browning; one brother, Dayle (and Patricia) Bucher of Bedford, Iowa; three grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
After graduating from Astoria High School, she worked for a cleaning service in Havana before marrying and becoming a homemaker.
She was a member of Woodland Church of the Brethren in Astoria.
A graveside service was held Tuesday at the Woodland Cemetery in Astoria with Pastor Lisa Fike officiating. Shawgo Memorial Home in Astoria was in charge of arrangements.
