He was born Oct. 2, 1957, in Rushville, a son of Gerald A. and Lulu Justine Lashbrook Sipes.
Surviving are one daughter, Stevie Sipes of Rushville; three brothers, Gerald M. “Marley” (and Donna) Sipes of Rushville, Jerry Lee (and Tina) Sipes of Meredosia and Sam A. (and Patty) Sipes of Bluffs Springs; two sisters, Paula Scego of Browning and Tamie Workman of Rushville.
He was preceded in death by two sisters, Teena Woodruff and LuCinda Phillips Logsdon.
He worked for G.M. Sipes Construction for many years until retiring due to ill health.
He was a member of Rushville Moose Lodge #506 and Operating Engineers Union Local #965 for 22 years.
Funeral services were held Sunday at Worthington Funeral Home in Rushville with Mr. David Haney officiating. Burial was in Christian Neck Cemetery northeast of Rushville.
