Hannah SlinkerHannah Marie Mangold Slinker, 58, of Rushville died at 11:46 a.m. Jan. 8, 2018, at her home.

She was born July 10, 1959, in Salem, Mo., a daughter of James and Mary Prater Mangold Sr. She married Steve Slinker on Dec. 19, 1975, in Astoria. He survives.

Also surviving are four children, Samantha (and Arthur) Ahten of Creve Coeur, Sarina (and Kurt) Peavler of Bloomington, Shannah Girard of Peoria and Catlin Slinker (and fiancée Katelyn Trunnell) of Normal; her mother and stepfather, Mary (and Rusty) Sutton of Rushville; two brothers, Daniel (and Barbara) Mangold of Frederick and Johnny Mangold of Rushville; six grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her father; one grandson, Avery; one brother, James “Bud” Mangold Jr.; and one sister, Karen Gossage.

She was a foster parent for many years. She was co-owner of JoHannah Ceramics in Peoria. She and her husband owned Reigning Colors Tattoos in Normal.

She was active with the Peoria PTA.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date and inurnment will be in the Littleton Cemetery. The Wood Funeral Home in Rushville is in charge of arrangements.

Memorials may be made to the Children’s Home in Peoria or Baby Fold in Bloomington.
