KAREN R. (MANGOLD) GOSSAGE

Karen Gossage

Karen R. Gossage, 36, of Rushville, died at 8:15 p.m. Monday, Oct. 27, 1997, in Littleton.

She was born Feb. 13, 1961, in Rushville to James Mangold and Mary Prater Sutton. She married Gerald Dean Gossage in 1982 in Astoria.

Surviving are her mother and stepfather, Mary and Rusty Sutton of Rushville; her father James Mangold of Harrison, Ark.; one son, Joseph Gossage at home; one daughter, Amy Gossage at home; three brothers, James Mangold of Rushville, Daniel Mangold of Frederick and John Mangold of Ripley; one sister, Mrs. Steven (Hannah) Slinker of Normal; two stepbrothers, Brian Sutton of Cincinnati, Ohio, and Brent Sutton of Quincy; and several nieces and nephews.

She was a coremaker at Vermont Foundry for five years. She was a member of United Auto Workers, where she held several offices. She was of the Baptist faith.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Wood-Roby Funeral Chapel in Rushville with Rev. Scott Henley officiating. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 tonight at the funeral chapel. Burial will be in Littleton Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to an education fund for her children, c/o First Financial Bank in Rushville.
