James V. "Bud" Mangold Jr., 53, of Rushville died at 1:30 a.m. July 22, 2012, at his home.
He was born July 30, 1958, in Fort Carson, Colo., a son of James and Mary Prater Mangold Sr.
Surviving are his mother and stepfather, Mary and Rusty Sutton of Rushville; two brothers, Daniel (and Barbara) Mangold of Frederick and Johnny Mangold of Rushville; three stepbrothers, Brian (and Tammy) Sutton of Louisville, Ky., Brent (and Danielle) Sutton of Minot, N.D., and Jeff Sutton of Moberly, Mo.; one sister, Hannah (and Steve) Slinker of Peoria; and one stepsister, Kari Sutton of Moberly, Mo.
He was preceded in death by his father; and one sister, Karen Gossage.
He first worked as a guard at AMAX Coal Company near Vermont. He later was a truck driver for Brooklyn Township and helped his grandfather Willie Prater farm.
He was a member of First Baptist Church in Lewistown.
Graveside services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Littleton Cemetery with Pastor Jason Triplett officiating. Visitation will be held from 9-10 a.m. Thursday at Wood Funeral Home in Rushville.
