Robert W. “Bob” Stambaugh, 66, of Astoria died at 4:45 p.m. Sept. 8, 2017, at his home.
He was born Oct. 7, 1950, in Beardstown, a son of Verle “Buck” and Larella Kaffenberger Stambaugh. He married JoAnn Skillen on Aug. 2, 1975, in Lyons. She survives.
Also surviving are one son, Adam (and Katie Bryant) Stambaugh of Astoria; his mother, Larella Stambaugh of Astoria; and one brother, William “Bill” Stambaugh of Astoria.
He was preceded in death by one son, Alex Stambaugh; his father, Verle “Buck” Stambaugh; and one brother, Allen Stambaugh.
He was owner and operator of S and S Red Fox in Astoria.
A visitation will be held from 4-6 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 13, at Shawgo Memorial Home in Astoria. Following the visitation at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, the family invites all those who wish to come to the State Street Grill to share in Bob’s favorite meal, breakfast.
Cremation rites will be accorded following visitation.
