Haskell S. Simpson, 65, of Trumann, Ark., died Oct. 15, 2012, at Flo and Phil Jones Hospice House in Jonesboro, Ark.

He was born Dec. 6, 1946, in Macomb, a son of Haskell and Mildred Smith Simpson Jr.

Surviving are his wife, Pamela Simpson of Trumann, Ark.; one son, David (and Tonya) Simpson of South Pekin; one stepson, Kevin (and Sonja) Martin of Jonesboro, Ark.; two brothers, Rodney (and Ruth) Simpson of Astoria and Jimmy Simpson of Bath; one grandchild; and one step grandchild.

He was a United States Navy veteran.

He retired after 30 years of service from Caterpillar Tractor Company in Mossville. He also was a former school bus driver for Bay School District.

He was a member of Broadway Avenue Missionary Church in Trumann, Ark.

Services were held Thursday at Broadway Avenue Missionary Church in Trumann with Reverend Rick Jensen officiating. Burial was in Cash Cemetery in Cash, Ark. Faith Funeral Service in Manila, Ark., was in charge of arrangements.
