Bernice H. Stambaugh, 90, of Macomb, formerly of Adair, died at 7:14 a.m. Thursday, June 1, 2000, at her daughter's home in Galesburg.
She was born Dec. 15, 1909, in Astoria, a daughter of Hugh and Sarah Thomas Foutch. She married Glen E. Stambaugh Sr. on Sept. 14, 1926, in Astoria. He died June 14, 1991.
Two brothers, one half brother, one sister and one half sister also preceded her in death.
Surviving are one son, Glen Jr. of Macomb; one daughter, Joan Bradshaw of Galesburg; two sisters, Naomi Cochran of Bartonville and Irma Salisbury of Canton; four grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church of Macomb.
Services were held Tuesday at Sargent-Worthington Funeral Home with Rev. Randell Whitmire officiating. Burial was in Oak Grove Cemetery near Astoria.
