Dalbert W. Smith, 75, of Lewistown died at 9:17 a.m. Wednesday, May 3, 2000, at Prairieview Care Center in Lewistown.
He was born July 25, 1924, in Vermont, a son of Darel and Goldie Sours Smith. He married Bessie Simpson on Aug. 13, 1944, in Astoria. She survives.
Also surviving are two daughters, Sheila (and Herschel) Belville and Connie (and Michael) Beard, both of Lewistown; three grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; one brother, Albert of Havana; and two sisters, Ida Cluney of Astoria and Marie Roudabush of Rushville.
He was preceded in death by one grandson, one brother and two sisters.
He worked for Canton Works of International Harvester for 23 years, retiring in 1983. He also farmed in the Lewistown area for many years.
Services were held Friday at Henry Memorial Home in Lewistown with Rev. Layton Malone officiating. Burial was in Oak Hill Cemetery.
