Lettie M. Simmons, 89, of Rushville, died at 4:19 a.m. Sunday, March 21, 1999, at Culbertson Memorial Hospital Extended Care in Rushville.
She was born Aug. 14, 1909, in Browning Township, Schuyler County, the daughter of Granville W. and Esther Robbins McCombs. She married Bryan Simmons on Nov. 6, 1926, in Rushville. He died Oct. 10, 1965. Three brothers and one niece also preceded her in death.
Surviving are one niece, Joyce Utter of Rushville; two nephews, Lawrence McCombs and Robert McCombs, both of Astoria; and several great-nieces and great-nephews.
She was a member of Browning Christian Church in Browning.
Services were held Tuesday at Shawgo Memorial Home in Astoria with Collis Trone officiating. Burial was in Browning Cemetery in Browning.
